NEW / DUPLICATE TITLES

New and duplicate titles are processed exclusively for vehicles registered in New Jersey, with New Jersey titling being a prerequisite for registration. Applications for the International Registration Plan (IRP) require a valid New Jersey title record.

TITLE (Next Day Depending on Availability)

New Jersey Registrant only. Registrants hold secure title liens until full payment, providing safeguards against fraud and ensuring consumer protection. A title lien indicates that the lending institution retains ownership of the vehicle's title until the loan or financial obligation is settled. This arrangement offers protection to both parties involved in the transaction.

REGISTRATION CAB CARD UPDATES

If an operator ceases employment with a specific trucking company, it is imperative to promptly update the Department of Transportation (DOT) information on the Cab Card Registration to prevent any potential inconvenience and associated penalty fees. To facilitate this process, the necessary information includes the DOT number and Tax ID of the new employing company.
